Rough prices were UP substantially all last year as a result of a very weak dollar and very strong Asian (Chinese in particular) demand.
Supplies were very short on most bigger size and better qualities. Diamonds and better quality "colored gems" are an extremely good hard asset investment and a very portable store of wealth.
